Hailing from the Southside area of Richmond, Virginia, Tarnika Edmunds’ calling is rooted in her passion for education, restorative practices, and the holistic well-being of diverse communities. With a focus on designing inclusive policies and curricula, she aims to strip cultural barriers to success while creating a legacy of generational impact. Tarnika’s academic pursuits in urban and regional planning, with a specialization in housing and community development, at Virginia Commonwealth University complement her firsthand experience in the nonprofit sector. Her lifelong goal is to provide pathways for underserved populations impacted by life-altering circumstances that affect one’s mobility in society.
