PNPI Explorer Blog – Wyoming
Welcome back to the PNPI Explorer blog series, where we examine higher education data in different states. This week’s spotlight is on Wyoming.
In 2022 in Wyoming, there were 9 institutions serving 21,365 full-time equivalent (FTE) students. Using the Comparison Tool, we can examine the average in-state tuition and fees for Wyoming institutions. Similar to other Mountain West states, Wyoming institutions have relatively low in-state tuition and fees at $5.15K, more than $11K less than the national average of $16.25K.
Despite the low cost of tuition and fees, Wyoming institutions generate revenue in other ways. Wyoming institutions have average on-campus room, board, and other fees totaling $12.02K per year. This is almost exactly even with the national average of $12.04K despite the relatively low cost of living in Wyoming.
