Jared Colston

Jared Colston is the Associate Director of Research for the Postsecondary National Policy Institute (PNPI). Prior to joining PNPI, he was a higher education researcher at the University of Wisconsin-Madison focusing on the intersection of higher education, geography, and mobility with a particular interest in equity of access to education and the role postsecondary institutions play in their regional political economies. He has research experience with the Student Success Through Applied Research (SSTAR) Lab, the Center for the Study of College-Workforce Transitions, and the Institute for Research on Poverty. Jared holds a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Louisville and is finishing a Ph.D. in Educational Policy Analysis & Evaluation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
