Program Integrity Boot Camp

January 25-26, 2024

Zoom

PNPI’s Program Integrity Boot Camp is designed for participants interested in advancing their knowledge of program integrity issues including misrepresentation, incentive compensation, state authorization, and gainful employment. Boot camp participants are generally nonprofit, think tank or national association staff, or public policy students interested in, a career in federal higher education policy. Attendees will be provided with an opportunity to engage with their peers and current policy professionals while participating in the boot camp and leave with a grounding in the topics. Scholarships are available for a limited number of students to attend (see “Student Scholarships” tab for more details).

The objectives for the boot camp are to:

  • Deepen participants’ understanding of what incentive compensation is;
  • Discuss current trends and issues in incentive compensation;
  • Deepen participants’ understanding of what misrepresentation is in the context of higher education;
  • Provide an overview of state authorization of higher education and explore current issues;
  • Review the history of gainful employment regulations;
  • Deepen participants’ understanding of gainful employment;
  • Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of past gainful employment regulations and the current rule; and
  • Review the negotiated rulemaking process.

The Program Integrity Boot Camp will provide participants with an opportunity to earn a digital badge at no additional cost. Issued through Credly, badges can be added to participants’ LinkedIn profiles, social media platforms, and shared with employers. A digital badge is a web-enabled version of a participant’s credential that can be shared with future or current employers online. More information can be found under the “Earn a Digital Badge” tab.
