Betsy Prueter serves as the senior director of programming and chief of staff for the Postsecondary National Policy Institute (PNPI), where she leads efforts to equip policymakers and advocates with the tools, resources, and knowledge to do their work. In her dual role, Betsy also oversees strategic initiatives, designs impactful programming, and supports the day-to-day operations of PNPI.
Before joining PNPI, Betsy worked as an education specialist for the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction in Madison, directing federal grants to foster academic service-learning and strengthen family-school-community partnerships in low-income schools. Earlier in her career, she taught and mentored college students at the University of Wisconsin and served as an AmeriCorps*VISTA with Massachusetts Campus Compact, deepening her commitment to equity and service in education.
Betsy is a certified facilitator holding executive certificates in facilitation and in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) from Georgetown University. She also holds a master’s degree in education policy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
